About the position

The Commercial Lines Account Executive at Patriot Growth Insurance Services is responsible for providing dedicated support, advice, and consultation to insurance clients in the middle to large market space. This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of a Producer and an Account Manager, focusing on client retention and tailored insurance solutions. The position requires collaboration with clients and internal teams to ensure comprehensive service and effective risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive consultation and support to clients across the insurance and risk management spectrum, including all lines of property and casualty insurance.
  • Maintain ongoing touchpoints with clients to ensure their needs are being met.
  • Assume a leadership role for clients in book of business and expiration lists providing strategic account management and consultation, including recommending tailored insurance solutions.
  • Respond timely to client requests for service and risk related items, such as policy review, contract review, claims, and other related matters.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive client information and records, and agency records.
  • Work closely with lead Producer(s) and Account Manager(s) to help problem solve, ensure client needs are met and insurance placement secure.
  • Prepare for, schedule, and coordinate routine touch-base conversations, pre-renewal, renewal, and service meetings for assigned clients.
  • Assist with insurance underwriting and carrier/underwriter negotiations when it comes to insurance quotes and placement for clients.
  • Prepare and present renewal proposals to clients, including discussion items and recommendations.
  • Conduct data analysis and work comp analyses proactively and upon request.
  • Attend carrier meetings to stay informed about industry developments and emerging trends.
  • Attend client and carrier loss control visits, claims review, and facilitate effective communication between all parties.
  • Facilitate and coordinate deployment of client resources including Zywave, ESM Insite, and other safety and loss control resources.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in a business-related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in the commercial lines insurance industry, with a focus on account management, risk management, and/or production/sales.
  • Obtainment and maintenance of California Property and Casualty Insurance License.
  • Prior experience in a leadership function working with top-tier clientele and large clients.
  • Possess a strong understanding of risk management principles, including primary property and casualty insurance.
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding clients' unique needs, and providing customized insurance solutions.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software applications, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other tools used for client management and communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Strong organizational skills and project management abilities.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex scenarios and develop solutions for clients.
  • Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices through attending training programs, earning relevant certifications, and participating in industry conferences or webinars.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and client information.
  • Ability to travel to client locations as needed (mostly Southern CA and Arizona).
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship at all times.
