About the position

The Commercial Lines Account Manager position is a full-time role focused on managing a generalist book of business, including Farm and Agricultural accounts. The role involves overseeing policy renewals from start to finish, with support from assistants, and requires a strong understanding of commercial coverage and middle market renewals. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for flexibility while working for a well-established independent insurance brokerage in the Portland area.

Responsibilities

• Manage policy renewals from start to finish.
• Negotiate with underwriters and marketing for middle market renewals.
• Provide support and guidance to assistants in the renewal process.
• Maintain knowledge of generalist commercial coverage and Farm/Ag accounts.
• Utilize EPIC software for account management.

Requirements

• Valid Oregon Property & Casualty License.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial lines insurance.
• Experience with full cycle middle market renewal processes.
• Knowledge of Farm and Agricultural coverage is a plus.
• Experience with underwriting and negotiating with underwriters.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with EPIC software.
• Previous experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager.
