About the position
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing commercial insurance accounts, ensuring accurate policy updates, and facilitating communication between clients, producers, and underwriters. This hybrid position offers flexible hours and requires strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverage and experience in the insurance industry.
Responsibilities
- Accurately input policy updates and account information.
- Communicate with clients, producers, and carrier underwriters regarding policy and coverage-related questions.
- Responsible for the marketing and quoting process for new business and account renewals.
- Identify, compile, and manage information regarding account renewals.
- Maintain consistent and timely communication with agency clients and carrier representatives.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverage and rating.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an independent agency or retail broker setting.
- Experience with various carriers and direct interaction with their underwriters.
- Proficiency in utilizing online rating software and various insurance carrier online systems.
- Experience with Applied TAM, EPIC, or AMS360 software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- P&C license required.
