About the position

The Commercial Lines Account Manager at Cross Insurance is responsible for servicing policies for commercial customers, focusing on both new and renewal business. This role emphasizes building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, underwriters, and other professionals, while ensuring effective communication and timely responses to inquiries and requests.

Responsibilities

• Service policies (new and renewal) for commercial customers.
• Create and maintain strong relationships with customers, underwriters, and other professionals.
• Understand the daily business operations and basic exposures of customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries including coverage questions and requests for documentation.
• Follow-up with underwriters for the timely receipt of quotes.
• Respond to requests from underwriters.
• Collect applications and underwriting information from clients and Account Executive for new & renewal business.
• Prepare renewal summaries and proposals.
• Prepare new business submissions and proposals.
• Advise clients on insurance coverages and products with minimal direction.
• Attain CE credits as necessary for licensing.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
