About the position

The Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager at Leavitt United Insurance Services is responsible for managing a book of business primarily focused on construction accounts. This role involves close collaboration with a producer and requires strong account management skills, including preparing applications, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring timely service delivery. The position can be performed remotely within California or at various locations including Elk Grove, Lodi, Santa Rosa, and Sonora.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare applications for submission with underwriting information provided by the producer.
  • Maintain daily ongoing relationships with the Commercial Lines Account Manager and Commercial Lines Manager regarding specific deadlines and ongoing projects/tasks.
  • Collaborate with service staff to meet timelines and deadlines.
  • Assist the assigned Commercial Lines Account Manager and Account Executive with marketing procedures and selected markets.
  • Follow up with markets for quotations and create proposals under the direction of the Account Executive.
  • Create proposal booklets and check for discrepancies between submission, quotation, and proposal.
  • Make proposal changes and quotations based on client meetings with the producer.
  • Work with the producer to provide binders of insurance and obtain client sign-off.
  • Issue certificates and check policies against submissions, quotations, and proposals.
  • Invoice and check endorsements against Account Executive requests.

Requirements

  • Must have a current Property & Casualty license in the state of California.
  • 5+ years of experience in account management.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with carrier rating software.
