About the position

The Commercial Lines Summer Intern position at Lockton offers a unique opportunity for college students to gain hands-on experience in the insurance field. This immersive internship program is designed to enhance skills, build business acumen, and provide exposure to various aspects of the insurance industry in a collaborative and inclusive environment. Interns will engage in meaningful projects that directly impact the business while developing professional communication skills and networking opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in various learning sessions hosted by Lockton subject matter experts and clients.
• Engage in client interactions through participation in renewal strategy sessions and risk analysis data reviews.
• Collaborate with peers to research and prepare material for a live group presentation on insurance topics.
• Complete a community service project as part of the internship experience.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year of college (December 2024 and May 2025 graduates are eligible).
• Commitment to participate in the full duration of the Summer 2025 Internship Program (8 weeks).
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week).
• Willingness to work a hybrid schedule, including 2-3 days in-office.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical aptitude, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Excitement and natural curiosity to learn and develop.
