About the position

The Commercial Lines Territory Sales Manager is responsible for expanding distribution partner relationships and securing new business in the central Pennsylvania area. This role requires a strong network with property and casualty insurance brokers and prior experience in Commercial Lines Sales or Production Underwriting. The position offers a competitive salary with additional quarterly and annual incentives, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Match existing agent relationships and books of business opportunities with those of our lines.
  • Recommend new commercial lines distribution partners in the territory based on analysis.
  • Sign up appropriate agents based on the strength of current relationships.
  • Pursue upsell, cross-sell, and recapture opportunities with agencies/brokers.
  • Coordinate New Business Proposal Meetings on key accounts to agencies and brokers; present all optional plans.
  • Conduct key account pre-renewal discussions with agencies.
  • Review competitor plans with underwriting to ensure the best pricing offered.
  • Lead the annual planning process and monitor throughout the year.
  • Review underwriting appetite and services with agencies and brokers.
  • Attend POS (Point of Sale) meetings with agencies/brokers when possible.
  • Assist with contracting new agencies/brokers and onboarding/terminating as required.
  • Maintain agency/broker profiles and attend corporate functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (High School Diploma or GED required).
  • Minimum 5 years' commercial insurance company experience in the insurance industry, specifically in Commercial Lines Marketing, Sales, Production Underwriting, Distribution, and/or Relationship Management.
  • Specific knowledge of the commercial lines in the central Pennsylvania marketplace.
  • Must maintain and remain current with their producers' state licenses and continuing education credits.

Nice-to-haves

  • Commercial Marketing experience (2 years preferred).
  • Property & Casualty License (preferred).
