The Commercial Loan Officer / Portfolio Manager is responsible for soliciting, promoting, marketing, and facilitating the overall sale of the bank's products. This role is crucial in contributing to the bank's growth by effectively selling bank services to both new and existing customers, with a strong emphasis on providing exceptional customer service. The position requires the officer to service and collect loans while meeting customer needs in accordance with the bank's policies. The officer will evaluate, service, monitor, and administer loan products to commercial businesses, ensuring a high-quality loan and deposit portfolio. This includes determining collateral values and analyzing data for loan approvals within established guidelines. The officer must also recognize and act on cross-selling opportunities, referring customers to appropriate personnel and providing information on various accounts and services. Active involvement in local community events is also expected to enhance the bank's presence and customer base. The officer is expected to manage an existing portfolio valued between $70MM and $100MM, which includes monitoring loans to ensure proper risk ratings and identifying potential issues. Responsibilities include preparing renewals for loans nearing maturity, contacting customers for overdue payments, and gathering current financial information. The officer will process and approve loan modification requests and perform loan monitoring duties, which involve extracting financial information from the bank's document-imaging system and reviewing customer financial data. Through personal marketing and networking, the officer will target and secure a variety of real estate and commercial loans, aiming to meet personal production goals and overall bank objectives. The role also involves approving loans within policy guidelines and presenting requests exceeding individual lending authority to loan committees for approval. In addition to loan processing, the officer is responsible for maximizing bank profitability through appropriate pricing of loan originations and selling all bank products and services. The officer must ensure that loan agreements are complete and accurate, review and approve commercial overdrafts, and ensure that approved loans are processed and funded promptly. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of three years of experience in the industry are required. The officer is also expected to promote a positive image of PointBank in the community by representing the bank at various events and following up on leads to develop new business opportunities. Compliance with all applicable regulations and participation in required training is essential, as is the responsibility for suggesting improvements to branch operations and performing other duties as assigned by management.
