About the position

The Commercial Loan Officer II at HOPE Credit Union is responsible for developing and managing a commercial loan portfolio in Mississippi, leading the credit union's expansion efforts in the state. This role involves building relationships with potential customers and co-lending partners, ensuring compliance with loan covenants, and facilitating loan closings. The position requires strong financial analysis skills and the ability to market financial products effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop active referral network for identifying potential customers and co-lending partners in Mississippi.
• Ensure that loan production targets are achieved.
• Assess risk of credit requests and present recommendations to facilitate loan closings.
• Manage customer relationships and ensure compliance with loan covenants and payment performance.
• Conduct annual financial reviews and on-site collateral inspections for assigned loans.
• Market other financial products and services offered by HOPE Credit Union.
• Perform general administrative duties such as attending meetings and report production.
• Assist in addressing problem loans as needed.
• Provide information required for investor reporting as requested.
• Participate in community outreach efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; graduate degree or professional certification preferred.
• Three or more years of commercial lending experience.
• Strong credit analysis and financial analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in computer skills, especially with financial spreadsheets and word processing.
