About the position

The Commercial Loan Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Loan Operations team, ensuring high-quality work and excellent customer service. This role involves managing loan servicing activities for both commercial and consumer loans, providing guidance and training to team members, and collaborating with internal and external customers to meet service level agreements. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the department efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor workload and turnaround time to meet service level agreements.
• Provide training to team members and communicate clear instructions.
• Complete daily check-backs and administer necessary corrections to resolve exceptions.
• Establish overall goals and objectives for the Loan Operations team.
• Assist team with workload to meet deadlines.
• Conduct assessments and audits to ensure accurate department procedures.
• Implement clean-up procedures and changes as necessary.
• Communicate with the VP to coordinate system and control activities related to loan documentation.
• Provide top-quality service to both internal and external customers.
• Complete all Loan Servicing activities as needed.

Requirements

• Two to five years of leadership experience required.
• Minimum of five years of direct Loan Servicing/Operations experience.
• Strong independent thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent follow-through and follow-up skills.
• Ability to prioritize workflow and handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Salesforce, nCino, or FIS Bankway is a plus.
