About the position
Salal Credit Union is looking to add a Commercial Loan Processor and Closer to our Credit Administration team! The Loan Processor and Closer will be responsible for the document preparation, title and escrow coordination, and closing of commercial loans. They will support lending documentation and funding activities and ensure that conditions are cleared prior to the loan closing and funding. The Loan Closer must have an eye for details and a thorough understanding of commercial lending guidelines and industry best practices. This position can be performed in a fully remote environment within certain eligible states.
Responsibilities
- Review loan application for completeness and accuracy, establish the loan file and enter the file into the loan documentation systems, while determining processing documentation required
- Accurately processes loan / credit applications
- Request, collect, and analyze various due diligence items necessary for the loan underwriting and closing process
- Board and fund all business loans, including term loans, lines of credit, and credit cards
- Build out and manage construction lending administration, including budgets, draws, invoice management, and 3rd party interaction to assure accuracy and completion
- Provide ongoing servicing of the business lending portfolio, maintain and help reconcile past due accounts, and resolve customer account problems
- Assist the business underwriting team with spreading financials as requested
Requirements
- 5+ years of recent commercial loan processing, closing and/or funding experience
- Preference for experience in construction loan administration
- Basic experience, knowledge and training in financial statement and tax return analysis
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
