About the position

This is a full-time position that provides administrative support within the Commercial Loan Department. Areas of support include processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing commercial and real estate loans allowing the Commercial Lenders to focus on developing and retaining strong customer relationships. Support will include extensive communication with clients, vendors as well as other departments within the organization. This position may be assigned support duties to one or more Commercial Lenders depending on the lender's portfolio size and complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with legal counsel and borrowers to cure any title deficiencies.
  • Prepares loan origination worksheets for loan operations to assure loans are properly set up on systems.
  • Maintains and updates construction loan disbursement forms and follows up for executed construction loan advance documentation from borrowers and their contractors.
  • Takes application, and facilitates loan approval and closing criteria as needed.
  • Clears all identified loan documentation errors in a timely manner.
  • Prepares term sheets, commitment letters, credit memos, etc.
  • Handles written and verbal correspondence and inquiries for the Lender(s) from applicants, internal Bank staff, and third-party vendors.
  • Tracks and follows up on financial statement, tax returns, personal financial statements, and other required documentation to clear financial exceptions.
  • Tracks and monitors loan covenants.
  • Tracks and monitors Lenders(s) past due loan reports. Sends property delinquency notice or makes phone calls as directed by the Lender(s).
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures in accordance with compliance regulations and all required annual job specific training.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of personnel.
  • Must possess knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composition, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Familiarity with lending procedures, laws, and regulations.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
