About the position

The Commercial Locksmith - Electrified Hardware Installer position involves providing expert locksmith services primarily for commercial hardware installation and related services in the Portland, OR Metro area and the Pacific Northwest Region. The role requires a knowledgeable individual who can apply standard trade practices in a professional manner, maintain good customer service, and work independently and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining door hardware including exit devices, door closers, and electronic locking devices.
• Keying, master-keying, and key cutting for various door hardware applications.
• Conducting thorough and professional site surveys and providing quotes for materials and services.
• Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and support staff.
• Keeping accurate records and documentation required for the position.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Minimum 3 years of experience in locksmithing or related field
• Knowledge of various materials and types of doors and openings
• Ability to work in various locations and site conditions
• Knowledge of hand and power tools used in commercial hardware installation
• Basic computer and related technology skills
• Organized and timely paperwork submittal practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in electrified hardware installation (3 years preferred)
• Oregon Locksmith License (will assist to obtain)
