About the position

The Commercial Manager for Energy at Corrpro Companies is responsible for managing sales and customer relationships within the energy sector, specifically focusing on corrosion engineering and protection services. This remote position involves developing and executing sales strategies, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring sales activities are accurately documented in the CRM system. The role requires a strong understanding of the company's products and services, as well as the ability to generate new business opportunities and meet sales quotas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage defined assigned current and future customers and projects to meet sales quotas.
  • Generate new orders by selling products and services across all aspects of assigned accounts.
  • Define and execute sales strategies and tactics to meet or exceed annual sales plans and quotas.
  • Perform account planning to identify, develop, and close business opportunities.
  • Maintain favorable business relationships with accounts.
  • Ensure all sales activity and opportunities are up to date in Salesforce.
  • Conduct sales calls and make product/service presentations to meet customer needs.
  • Develop bid strategy and provide input into the estimating process.
  • Generate and document market intelligence for assigned accounts.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual variance reporting to compare actual results against budgets.
  • Attend trade shows and related conventions to promote company products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Business, Sales, Marketing, Construction or other related fields required.
  • 7 years of related sales experience in the energy, pipeline, waste management and/or municipal markets.
  • Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting business periodicals and technical procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to persuade and motivate clients and co-workers.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Salesforce.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or advanced degree is an asset.
  • Experience performing arithmetic calculations and applying basic statistical concepts.
