About the position

The Commercial Manager for Energy at Corrpro Companies is responsible for driving sales and managing relationships with current and future customers in the energy sector. This remote position focuses on achieving sales quotas through effective account management, strategic sales planning, and collaboration with internal and external teams to deliver corrosion protection solutions. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the company's products and services, as well as the ability to conduct market analysis and develop marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage defined assigned current and future customers and projects to achieve sales quotas.
  • Generate new orders by selling products and services across all aspects of assigned accounts.
  • Define and execute sales strategies and tactics to meet or exceed annual sales plans and quotas.
  • Perform account planning to identify, develop, and close business opportunities.
  • Maintain favorable business relationships with accounts.
  • Ensure all sales activity and opportunities are up to date in Salesforce, the CRM system.
  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the products and services offered by Corrpro.
  • Conduct sales calls and make product/service presentations to meet customer needs.
  • Develop bid strategy, optimize pricing, and develop project teams for profitable projects.
  • Generate and document market intelligence for assigned accounts.
  • Provide input into marketing communications and product portfolio decisions.
  • Conduct variance reporting to compare actual results against budgets.
  • Develop trends or analyses to test forecast assumptions and understand risks and opportunities.
  • Attend trade shows and related conventions to promote company products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Business, Sales, Marketing, Construction or related fields required.
  • 7 years of related sales experience in the energy, pipeline, waste management, and/or municipal markets.
  • Experience in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business periodicals and technical procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade and motivate clients and co-workers.
  • Must be a strong communicator able to take initiative and function independently.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce (or other CRM).
  • Ability to travel approximately 35% or as needed.
