About the position

The Commercial Marketing Manager at Johnson & Johnson will be responsible for developing and executing regional marketing strategies for the Abiomed Team, focusing on enhancing therapy adoption and engagement within the healthcare provider community. This role requires a deep understanding of the medical device market, particularly in cardiology, and aims to empower field teams through effective communication and training strategies. The position is pivotal in shaping the future of cardiovascular care by leveraging customer insights and analytics to drive marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop regional marketing strategy, planning & execution (launches, campaigns, initiatives). Responsible for indication results.
  • Identify barriers and opportunities for therapy adoption, and effectively address them through marketing programs.
  • Introduce key messages, clinical evidence, and best practices to the field commercial organization.
  • Generate engagement opportunities for the field to help them be present, relevant, and build consensus within their healthcare provider customers.
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in scientific literature.
  • Drive alignment with publication office strategy and pipeline.
  • Develop field communication & training strategy, including All Field Calls, Quarterly Plan of Action live, Annual meeting production.
  • Provide leadership to the execution of omni channel strategy (prof ed, PPDs, advertising, etc).
  • Communicate and align with internal business partners (e.g. Prof Ed, product management, Upstream mktg).
  • Build a deep understanding of target markets, including technology and healthcare trends, competitive dynamics, unmet needs, and regional factors.
  • Establish performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years marketing experience, ideally in the medical device market, with a strong business acumen.
  • Bachelor's degree required; postgraduate degree preferred.
  • Marketing experience in the cardiology space is a plus.
  • Innovative thinker, embracing new ideas, processes, and technologies.
  • Ability to simplify complex stories and create practical solutions.
  • Proven track record of leveraging analytics, customer insights, and field feedback to develop and execute strategies and plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including sales & marketing leadership and customers.
