About the position

The Commercial Marketing Manager at Cushing Terrell is responsible for leading marketing initiatives that enhance the firm's visibility and support business development efforts. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create compelling marketing materials, manage proposal processes, and coordinate events, all while leveraging data to inform strategic decisions. The position emphasizes creativity, communication, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Track, maintain and assemble up-to-date marketing information and collateral (print and digital).
  • Initiate, coordinate, and produce the proposal response process including writing, editing, and reviewing materials.
  • Coordinate trade shows and professional events, including scheduling and travel arrangements.
  • Assist the Communications team with research and assembly of press releases and articles.
  • Perform various administrative tasks such as recording meeting minutes and market research.
  • Coordinate with vertical market leaders to conduct market research and drive business development strategy.
  • Deploy writing skills in creative, persuasive, and technical styles.
  • Anticipate marketing needs based on research and market trends.
  • Provide creative control and enforce established standards while offering improvements.
  • Set measurable team objectives and analyze data to provide insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or Marketing.
  • 8+ years of job-related experience.
  • Advanced ability to utilize CRM and various communication software including Microsoft Teams and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficient with leveraging a CRM database for marketing purposes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Ability to support research and development efforts, particularly in data storytelling.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, adapting to changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to develop and sustain client relationships.
  • Prior AEC industry experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with digital asset management software (OpenAsset).
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics.
