About the position

As a Commercial Operations Coordinator at Neste, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of supply and sales cargo movements for both term and spot contracts. This position is based in Houston, Texas, and involves close collaboration with both external and internal stakeholders globally. Your primary responsibility will be to independently coordinate cargo movements related to physical oil or feedstock supply contracts, overseeing the entire process from planning the delivery to invoicing. You will be part of a dynamic international team that values accountability, cooperation, and a commitment to developing and renewing operational processes. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating terminal operations and managing inventory effectively. Daily cooperation with suppliers and vendors will be essential, as you will handle various aspects of commercial operations, including delivery planning and scheduling, compliance, invoicing and payments, quality monitoring, and sustainability documentation. You will also coordinate commercial matters with internal stakeholders such as sales, legal, logistics, technical support, finance, and risk management, ensuring that all operations align with company goals and values. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations of supply and sales cargo movements for term and spot contracts.
  • Independently manage cargo movements related to physical oil or feedstock supply contracts from planning to invoicing.
  • Oversee terminal operations and inventory management.
  • Collaborate daily with suppliers and vendors on commercial operations, delivery planning, compliance, invoicing, quality monitoring, and sustainability documentation.
  • Coordinate commercial matters with internal stakeholders including sales, legal, logistics, technical support, finance, and risk management.

Requirements

  • Degree in business or similar studies, and/or several years of experience in a corresponding position in the petroleum industry.
  • Good understanding/knowledge of the petroleum industry as a whole.
  • Experience in commercial cargo operations and with different modes of transportation in international oil trade is a benefit.
  • Knowledge of renewable fuels and raw material supply is a plus.
  • Understanding of compliance in regards to renewable fuels is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with various IT systems, especially ERP systems (SAP and terminal systems e.g. TABS), Google office products, and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; other languages are an asset.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a customer service attitude.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in daily operations is a must.
  • Ability to work in an international environment with different cultures, values, and time zones.
