The Commercial Operations Coordinator position at Neste in Houston, TX, is a pivotal role within the Logistics & Commercial Operations team. As a Commercial Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating all logistics and operations related to renewable and petroleum product shipments, which includes managing customer service and terminal operations. In this role, you will report directly to the Operations Manager and will play a crucial part in the day-to-day supply, sales, and trading operations that involve both marine and land deliveries. Your responsibilities will include scheduling and coordinating the movement of gasoline and distillates to meet contractual obligations, primarily utilizing the colonial and buckeye pipeline systems. This entails overseeing cargo movements related to physical oil contracts, from the planning stage through to invoicing. You will also coordinate terminal operations and manage various transportation methods, including marine, truck, and rail, to support pipeline system movements. Daily cooperation with suppliers and vendors will be essential, as you will handle commercial operations, delivery planning, invoicing, payments, and sustainability documentation, among other operational tasks. Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate movements of gasoline and distillates to meet contractual obligations primarily on the colonial and buckeye pipeline systems.
  • Coordinate cargo movements related to physical oil contracts, from planning of the delivery to invoicing.
  • Manage terminal operations and some movements via marine, truck, and rail to support pipeline system movements.
  • Engage in daily cooperation with suppliers and vendors in commercial operations, delivery planning, invoicing, payments, quality and quantity monitoring, and sustainability documentation.
  • Coordinate commercial matters with sales, legal, logistics, technical support, finance, risk management, and other internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree in business or similar studies, and/or several years of experience in a corresponding position in the petroleum industry.
  • Good understanding/knowledge of the petroleum industry.
  • Experience in commercial cargo operations and with different modes of transportation in international oil trade is a benefit.
  • Knowledge of renewable fuels and raw material supply is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with different IT systems, especially with ERP systems (SAP and DistX), Google office products, and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; other languages are an asset.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a customer service attitude.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in daily operations is a must.
  • Ability to behave according to company values in all situations and understand common goals.
  • Stress-resistant personality with good problem-solving skills.
  • Systematic and energetic approach to work with a positive attitude.
