About the position

Stellar Solutions is seeking a talented and hands-on Product Assurance/Quality Engineer to support various aerospace satellite programs. This position is designed for individuals with experience in the Space Industry, particularly those who can perform hardware inspections of high-reliability satellite components. The role is flexible and may require working only a few hours a month, depending on customer needs. The engineer will be expected to travel with short notice, typically 5 to 7 days, to visit suppliers' facilities for hardware inspections and to review production paperwork. This position is critical in ensuring that the components meet the necessary quality standards before they are shipped to customers. The responsibilities of the Product Assurance/Quality Engineer include conducting thorough inspections of sophisticated electromechanical devices, including microwave and RF components. The engineer will also be responsible for addressing non-conformances and implementing corrective actions as needed. A strong understanding of pre-shipment reviews is essential, as the role emphasizes hands-on inspection of various electrical and mechanical components, such as PCB/PWBs, TWTs, solar array drives, and propulsion components. The ideal candidate will be a US Citizen or a Green Card holder, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in the aerospace sector.
