About the position

Stellar Solutions is seeking a talented and hands-on Product Assurance/Quality Engineer to support various aerospace satellite programs. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of high-tech commercial ventures in the space industry. The position is designed for individuals who are flexible and can adapt to the dynamic needs of the aerospace sector. As a Product Assurance/Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for performing hardware inspections of high-reliability satellite components, ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards before they are shipped to customers. The role requires a deep understanding of sophisticated electromechanical devices, with a particular emphasis on microwave and RF components. You will be expected to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions as necessary. A significant part of your responsibilities will involve conducting pre-shipment reviews and hands-on inspections of various electrical and mechanical components, including PCB/PWBs, TWTs, solar array drives, and propulsion components. This position is not only about technical expertise but also about being proactive in identifying potential issues and ensuring that all production paperwork is in order. This is an 'as needed' position, meaning you may be called upon to perform work for 4 to 8 hours once or twice a month, depending on customer needs. Flexibility is key, as you will need to be available for travel with a 5 to 7-day notice. The majority of your work will involve visiting suppliers' facilities to inspect hardware and ensure compliance with quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about contributing to the success of innovative space programs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hardware inspections of high-reliability satellite components.

  • Conduct pre-shipment reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Travel to suppliers' facilities to perform inspections and ensure quality compliance.

Requirements

  • Experience in the Space Industry, specifically with hardware inspections of satellite components.
