About the position
The Commercial Parts Pro at Advance Auto Parts is a professional sales position focused on supporting advanced functions within the commercial side of the business. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth through customer retention and relationship management, while also providing supervisory support to team members. The position requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, as well as the ability to source parts from various suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Responsibilities
- Maintain commercial customer relationships
- Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
- Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
- Provide day-to-day supervisory support for Team Members
- Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for Team Members
- Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are achieved
- Maintain commercial stocking programs
- Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers
- Maintain core bank and commercial returns
- Maintain commercial credit accounts
- Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage
Requirements
- ASE Certification preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Basic math skills
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years of prior automotive parts experience preferred
- Proven sales ability
- Formal or informal experience leading teams
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; Spanish is a plus

- ASE Parts Specialist Certification
- Supervising experience
- Automotive diagnostics knowledge
- Leadership skills
