Commercial Plumbing Estimator

About the position

The Commercial Plumbing Estimator at A-1 Total Service Plumbing is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and proposals for trenchless and commercial plumbing services. This role involves collaborating with the sales team to review requests for proposals (RFPs), interpreting blueprints, and managing organized records of estimates. The estimator will calculate project costs, ensuring alignment with bid strategies and client expectations, while working in a supportive environment that values employee contributions and offers opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the director of sales and business development manager to review RFPs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for trenchless and commercial plumbing services.
• Accurately interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Manage organized records of estimates to align with bid strategies and client expectations.
• Calculate project costs, including materials, labor, and subcontractor services.

Requirements

• Experience in construction estimating, particularly in CIPP, SIPP, pipe bursting, trenchless technologies, or commercial plumbing.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently.
