About the position

The Commercial Portfolio Analyst II at Wright-Patt Credit Union is responsible for conducting annual reviews of existing credits, analyzing various financial aspects of member businesses, and advising the Portfolio Manager on necessary actions to ensure timely repayment. This role involves monitoring portfolio performance, managing loss mitigation relationships, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete annual reviews on existing credits, including analysis of cash flow, financial condition, management ability, repayment history, and risk rating adjustments.
• Advise the Portfolio Manager on actions required for specific member relationships to ensure timely repayment of obligations.
• Lead management of loss mitigation relationships under $1 million through ongoing portfolio monitoring efforts, including delinquency monitoring and covenant performance.
• Develop loss mitigation scenarios for review by MBS VP and/or Loan Committee, and administer loan workouts and asset preservation plans.
• Verify that all workout loans are processed and categorized in accordance with established regulations and credit union policies.
• Conduct annual reviews on downgraded small business members resulting from quarterly SBFE reporting.
• Manage the drafting of default notices, bankruptcies, and repossessions.
• Track covenant performance regarding financial reporting and default provisions, and draft notices to members in violation of material covenants.
• Assist the Commercial Portfolio Manager in completing MBS required periodic Board and Departmental reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a Business-related field.
• Minimum ten years of banking experience, with five years focused on commercial banking.
• Minimum of two years of credit analysis experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Proven ability to learn complex concepts and apply them appropriately.
