About the position

The Commercial Portfolio Analyst at BMO US is responsible for facilitating decision-making and analysis of credit information to support lending decisions and processes. This role aims to minimize risk exposure by adhering to internal credit policies and procedures, while also performing financial calculations and compliance checks within the assigned portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate decisioning and analysis of credit information to support lending decisions.
• Minimize BMO's risk exposure by adhering to internal credit policies and procedures.
• Perform financial covenant compliance calculations to identify deteriorating credit conditions.
• Conduct collateral margining verification calculations to determine borrowing base availability.
• Analyze financial information, tax returns, credit bureau reports, and other related materials.

Requirements

• Typically 2 - 3 years of relevant experience or a post-secondary degree in a related field.
• In-depth functional knowledge and broad business knowledge.
• Exceptional skills in quantitative analytics and credit analysis.
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
