About the position

The Commercial Portfolio Manager III - CIP is a pivotal role within Huntington Bank, responsible for managing a substantial book of business exceeding $100 million in commitments and/or outstandings. This position is integral to the Commercial lending relationship, particularly in specialty areas such as Syndications, Large Corporate, or Asset-Based Lending (ABL). The primary focus of this role is to service, deepen, and retain profitable customer relationships by proactively evaluating and mitigating associated business risks and opportunities, in alignment with established Huntington policies, procedures, and Guiding Principles. In this capacity, the Commercial Portfolio Manager III will take ownership of the credit and monitoring of commercial portfolio risks. This includes ensuring the underwriting quality, portfolio administration, and credit quality of the assigned portfolio. The role requires close collaboration with the Team Leader, Regional Commercial Management, and Regional Credit Officer to maintain high standards of credit quality and risk management. Additionally, the manager will assist in optimizing customer relationships by working directly with Relationship Managers, Treasury Management, and other team members to effectively grow fees, deposits, and portfolio revenue. This is achieved by presenting practical financial solutions tailored to the needs of customers. The responsibilities also encompass managing delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base, portfolio reviews, specialized reporting, soft exposure annual reviews, and criticized loans. The role may involve performing other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the commercial lending team and the bank's objectives.

Responsibilities
