About the position

The Commercial Portfolio Manager (CPM) is responsible for the administrative management of assigned lending relationships within commercial loans. This role acts as a resource to the Commercial Loan Officer, ensuring compliance and covenant information is current and complete. The CPM also assists in underwriting analysis for new or renewed credits and prepares credit approval packets, maintaining active communication with borrowers throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Ensure information and credit files of all assigned borrowers are current and maintain active communication with borrowers.
• Follow up with existing clients to obtain timely and accurate financial information for loan monitoring.
• Assist in preparing and underwriting credit approval packets for new requests, renewals, and annual reviews.
• Work closely with the Credit Department to process all assigned loan requests in a timely manner.
• Present Annual Reviews of assigned credits to the Loan Committee.
• Review loan documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with credit approval terms.
• Schedule and conduct timely site visits and inspections of collateral.
• Assist in facilitating the closing of transactions.
• Help Commercial Lenders manage past due and maturing loans.
• Participate in team meetings and community/business-related events.
• Assist in developing and strengthening existing commercial banking relationships through scheduled customer interactions.
• Research, prepare, and execute customer calls to develop new sources of revenue within the existing portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• 2-3 years credit analysis experience (required), 5+ years preferred
• Previous experience in a portfolio management role (preferred)
