The Commercial Portfolio Manager 4 plays a crucial role within the client's Credit Delivery Team, working under the direct supervision of a Portfolio Group Manager, Senior Group Sales Manager, or Market President. This position is integral to managing a loan portfolio primarily consisting of Wholesale Banking relationships across various industries, including general commercial and industrial, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, and transportation. The portfolio typically encompasses complex credits with total commitments exceeding $175 million, representing 20 to 25+ relationships. The primary responsibilities include conducting credit analysis, underwriting, and ongoing portfolio management, ensuring adherence to bank policies and regulatory guidelines. In this role, the Commercial Portfolio Manager will partner effectively with Relationship Managers (RMs), market leadership, and credit officers to originate and maintain profitable relationships. Key duties involve performing due diligence, preparing credit approval packages, and conducting risk assessments for new and existing loans. The manager will also be responsible for monitoring compliance with loan agreements, preparing annual reviews to assess financial performance, and ensuring timely communication with various internal business partners throughout the underwriting and portfolio management process. Additionally, the position requires the manager to engage in client interactions, assist in preparing opportunity memos for new clients, and participate in discussions regarding credit requests. The role demands a proactive approach to monitoring client performance against original underwriting projections and conducting thorough due diligence to evaluate credit capacity and quality.
