About the position

The Commercial Product Analyst role is pivotal in optimizing digital ad products to meet the diverse goals of various stakeholders. This position focuses on enhancing products such as programmatic open auctions, direct deals, and private marketplace efforts, ensuring that both advertisers and the organization derive maximum benefit. The successful candidate will engage deeply with data to propose, measure, and optimize product performance, while also benchmarking against competitors and addressing unmet needs in the market. In this role, you will conduct hypothesis testing to drive product development and iterative improvements. You will monitor performance metrics for all products, ensuring alignment with stakeholder goals, and incrementally drive revenue through continuous optimization. Establishing product KPIs per stakeholder will be crucial, as will tracking product performance against these established goals. You will develop and test hypotheses to measure output and drive ongoing improvements, focusing on increasing the utilization and revenue generation of branded content and sold advertising products. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work with teams such as Salesforce and BI to set up, track, and review all products. Regular reviews of costs will be necessary to manage margins effectively, and you will need to understand yield trade-offs to make recommendations on optimizing yield and pricing that align with organizational strategies. This position is designed for a results-oriented individual who is highly motivated to drive performance improvements and exceed KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hypothesis testing for product development and iterative improvements.
  • Monitor performance metrics for all products, ensuring alignment with stakeholder goals.

  • Gather and establish product KPIs per stakeholder, mapping and setting clear goals.
  • Track product performance against established KPIs and goals.
  • Develop and test iterative hypotheses to measure output and drive ongoing improvements.
  • Focus on increasing the utilization and revenue generation of branded content and sold advertising products.
  • Work with teams like Salesforce and BI to set up, track, and review all products.
  • Regularly review costs and drive necessary changes to manage margins effectively.
  • Understand yield trade-offs and make recommendations on optimizing yield and pricing that align with organizational strategies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in optimizing towards advertising / eCommerce KPIs.
  • Comfortable creating data visualizations and drawing together compelling stories to unite stakeholders.
  • Strong background in data analysis with the ability to propose and measure product optimizations.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue and improving product performance through data-driven decisions.
  • Experience working with analytics and customer management tools.
  • Ability to gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into actionable KPIs and goals.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with various teams, including Salesforce, BI, and commercial teams.
  • Highly motivated to drive performance improvements and exceed KPIs.
