About the position

The Commercial Project Director will oversee a large, complex high-speed rail project in the United States, managing commercial project execution across various phases including order booking, planning, design, procurement, manufacturing, commissioning, and customer acceptance. This role requires a proven track record in leading international projects and involves close collaboration with operational departments in the US and Europe to ensure customer satisfaction and financial compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the financial performance of the assigned project.
• Anticipate changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and develop cost-effective contingency plans.
• Supervise and control project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and deliverables, aligning them with business goals.
• Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders.
• Assist the Project Director in developing and delivering monthly project reports, customer progress reports, change proposals, and presentations to internal and external partners.
• Coach, mentor, empower, and supervise project team members and contractors, fostering positive action and accountability.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Assist with customer sales channel activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance (preferred).
• 10 to 15 years of experience in the infrastructure industry, including several years in project management.
• Experience in controlling, accounting, contracts, and claims within construction project management.
