About the position

The Commercial Project Manager for Division 8 is responsible for managing multiple commercial and multi-family construction projects simultaneously. This role involves coordinating products and materials, ensuring project schedules and budgets are met, and driving customer satisfaction. The Project Manager will work closely with various departments, customers, and vendors to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration with estimators, sales reps, and detailers for project scope review
• Advising and verifying rough openings
• Managing post-bid addendums, proposal requests, RFIs, ASIs, etc.
• Ensuring project-specific vendor quotes remain valid
• Utilizing knowledge of building codes, life safety, and accessibility
• Documenting all project aspects through various forms of correspondence
• Managing multiple projects daily in the multi-family and commercial sectors
• Communicating directly with suppliers and vendors for product information and lead-times
• Maintaining direct communication with customers via phone, email, or jobsite visits
• Determining and meeting project schedules and deadlines
• Staying within budget while providing materials within project scope
• Creating and implementing door hardware keying schedules

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial and residential construction projects
• Knowledgeable in Division 8 products and services (windows, doors, frames, hardware)
• Proficient in Division 28 products and their integration with door hardware
• Highly proficient in reading construction and shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• DHI Certifications (AHC, CDC, EHC, AOC) preferred
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment while managing multiple projects
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Avaware, and other window and door related software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills
