About the position

The Commercial Property Leasing Agent is responsible for facilitating the leasing process for potential tenants, promoting available commercial properties, and ensuring high occupancy rates. This role involves direct interaction with prospects and current tenants, marketing properties, conducting tours, and collaborating with maintenance teams to maintain property standards.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and answering questions from prospects and current tenants in a professional manner.
• Developing print and internet marketing and advertising strategies.
• Participating in outreach marketing activities.
• Conducting property tours for prospective tenants and providing information on available commercial space.
• Facilitating build-outs and move-in processes.
• Assisting with application verifications.
• Utilizing property management software to maintain accurate tenant records.
• Conducting all business transactions in accordance with company policies and laws.
• Upselling additional services or amenities to prospective tenants.
• Collaborating with the property maintenance team to ensure properties are well-maintained.
• Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Five or more years' experience with marketing/leasing commercial properties and customer service.
• High School Diploma required; any college-level marketing coursework preferred.
• Strong knowledge of property management processes and leasing regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to upsell and promote property features effectively.
• Creativity in developing innovative marketing presentations while being detail-oriented regarding applications and compliance.
• Knowledge of commercial leasing software is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Yardi or similar property management software.
