About the position

Cole Schotz is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our New York or New Jersey offices. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in all aspects of commercial real estate, including title and survey reviews, purchases, sales, financings, and leasing. This role requires a highly organized individual who can prioritize tasks effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this position. The candidate should also possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, as these tools will be integral to daily tasks. A college degree and/or paralegal certificate, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, are required for this role. We offer a competitive starting salary and a comprehensive benefits package, with the salary range for this position being $76,500 to $162,500, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities

  • Conduct title and survey reviews for commercial real estate transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of purchase and sale agreements.
  • Support financing transactions by preparing necessary documentation and conducting due diligence.
  • Manage lease agreements and related documentation for commercial properties.
  • Coordinate with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to facilitate real estate transactions.
  • Maintain organized files and records for all transactions and correspondence.
  • Prepare and file necessary legal documents with appropriate government agencies.

Requirements

  • Valid Paralegal Certificate certification.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate law.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • College degree or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with real estate financing and leasing transactions.
  • Familiarity with local real estate laws and regulations.
