About the position

The Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager at Diamond Properties is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring operational efficiency, financial performance, and tenant satisfaction. This role requires strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to maximize property value and tenant retention while managing budgets and financial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of a portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring they meet company and client standards.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize property value and tenant retention.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the assigned portfolio.
  • Monitor property performance metrics and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Oversee rent collections, lease renewals, and tenant billing.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and ensure tenant satisfaction.
  • Coordinate tenant move-ins, build-outs, and lease compliance.
  • Manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and property maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues and compliance with safety standards.
  • Oversee capital improvement projects and renovations.
  • Collaborate with leasing teams to market and lease available spaces.
  • Negotiate lease terms and ensure alignment with portfolio objectives.
  • Assist in identifying and securing new tenants.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial properties.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date property records, including lease agreements, inspection reports, and financial documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in commercial real estate property management or portfolio management.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, reporting, and lease management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for tenant and vendor interactions.
  • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of local real estate markets and trends is a plus.
