About the position

The Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician at RSC Mechanical is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing, and resolving issues with refrigeration systems to minimize downtime and prevent product loss. This role requires a high level of customer service and technical expertise, as technicians will work in various retail and commercial environments, responding promptly to emergencies and ensuring the operational status of refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform necessary repairs to restore refrigeration systems to operational status.
• Respond immediately to rack failures and assess the situation to identify root causes.
• Communicate with store managers and team members about expected downtime and preventive measures.
• Conduct general maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks on refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair various commercial refrigeration systems, including HVAC and ice machines.
• Maintain truck inventory and adhere to vehicle maintenance program guidelines.
• Complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC and commercial refrigeration.
• Exceptional communication skills for client and team interactions.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in high-stress environments.
• Self-starter mentality with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
