About the position

As a Commercial Restoration Estimator, you will be responsible for creating and managing estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role involves overseeing insurance policies and transactions, ensuring compliance, and managing claims and disputes. You will collaborate with various internal teams to maintain regulatory standards and reduce risks while providing training and guidance on insurance regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and track the registration of insurance contracts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding insurance claims
  • Keep current with new policies, industry changes, and regulatory updates
  • Manage dispute resolution and settlement of claims
  • Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and other teams to ensure adherence to compliance standards and risk management
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of insurance policies and claims data
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on insurance regulations and best practices
  • Develop and streamline processes for handling insurance claims
  • Create and manage estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in insurance management or a similar role
  • Extensive experience in writing Xactimate estimates
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and insurance management software
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies, industry regulations, and claims processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Skilled in Xactimate and estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual
  • Experience in Water & Fire Damage Mitigation
  • Experience in working with insurance carriers
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable contract terms

Benefits

  • Contract position with hourly pay ranging from $25.00 to $45.00
