About the position

The Commercial Revenue Analyst at Choice Hotels is responsible for supporting the Head of Commercial Strategy and the Commercial Team by analyzing hotel performance and identifying revenue opportunities. This role involves creating and analyzing commercial data, reports, and presentations to drive revenue across the Managed Hotel Division, which includes various hotel brands. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the development of revenue strategies and pricing structures.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Commercial Strategy and the Commercial Team in implementing new revenue strategy initiatives across the Managed Hotels portfolio.
  • Measure current revenue strategy initiatives and report results to understand their effectiveness.
  • Use data analytics to assist in developing future revenue strategy initiatives and provide analysis for supporting business cases.
  • Work with the analytics team on managing the MHD Tableau workbooks.
  • Conduct deep dive analysis of commercial revenue performance to identify root causes of performance issues.
  • Support the development of new pricing structures and rate simplification initiatives to optimize hotel rate displays.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for meetings using available software and technology.
  • Establish and maintain reporting documentation for ownership meetings.
  • Accurately prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports including RevPAR/RGI Tracker and Forecast Accuracy.
  • Develop forecast and budget reporting for the hotel portfolio.
  • Lead assigned analysis projects, develop new techniques, and generate ideas for improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in analytics, revenue management, and/or hotel distribution required.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence software (e.g., Tableau) and ability to navigate large data sets to identify trends.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational and process management skills.
  • Self-starter with initiative and confidence.
  • Results-driven with strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications and other relevant tools.
