About the position

The Commercial Roofing Project Manager is responsible for overseeing high-profile commercial roofing projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing both office and field duties, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards. The position emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and effective communication with clients and subcontractors, all while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-profile commercial roofing projects from turnover meeting to final completion.
• Review contracts and proposals, flagging discrepancies before execution.
• Approve shop drawings and submittals, making recommendations for changes as necessary.
• Ensure all warranties, work permits, and job contracts are in place before work begins.
• Prepare job files and plan work with field staff prior to project commencement.
• Schedule and attend pre-planning sessions with General Contractors.
• Coordinate work schedules with clients and subcontractors, informing the Superintendent of any changes.
• Maintain job site records, including daily reports and weather reports.
• Monitor job progress and provide input for production reports and job costs.
• Review and approve time sheets for accuracy based on GPS reports.
• Resolve technical and contractual issues that arise during projects.
• Prepare estimates for minor change orders and support estimators for major changes.
• Submit monthly billings based on contract requirements.
• Attend weekly Department Team meetings to provide status reports on current jobs.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Graduate; College preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in project management; 1-3 years in a roofing company preferred.
• Certifications: OSHA-30; First Aid/CPR/Blood borne pathogen training; other specific equipment licenses may be required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and scheduling software.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience in commercial roofing systems, specifically built-up/modified and single-ply.
