About the position

The Commercial Roofing Sales Professional at Nations Roof is responsible for developing new service sales for local and regional accounts while continuing to grow recurring service revenue sources. This role involves acting as a roofing resource for clients, providing solutions-based recommendations, and expanding the local client base. The position requires prior experience in sales within the commercial roofing sector and entails a mix of prospecting, client relationship management, and technical expertise in roofing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new clients through cold calling, B2B marketing, and networking events.
  • Maximize market potential by working with current customers.
  • Conduct site visits and provide analysis of existing roofing systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, EPDM, TPO, PVC Shingle, and metal roofs.
  • Provide alternatives, recommendations, and budget pricing for repair, restoration, and replacement options.
  • Follow up with the Operations team and clients to review proposals and necessary suggested repairs to close sales opportunities.
  • Provide technical expertise and cultivate relationships with local facility representatives.
  • Utilize a database of completed projects and existing customers to provide roof inspections and other services.
  • Establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on prospects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and local management teams.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of commercial roofing experience.
  • Sales experience in commercial roofing.
  • Fundamental knowledge of roof systems and repair applications (preferred but not required).
  • Basic working knowledge of computer programs and phone software applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time management abilities.
  • Organized and enjoys working outside.
  • Ability to lift and climb up and down a 30 ft. ladder or many flights of stairs.
  • Capable of receiving instructions and clearly explaining problems and solutions to customers.
  • Abide by all job-site safety requirements, including PPE and fall protection.
  • Team-oriented and willing to perform based on the company's Core Values.
  • A valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
