About the position
The Commercial Roofing Service Superintendent will oversee roofing projects for a reputable commercial roofing contractor. This role requires a dependable individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to continuous improvement. The superintendent will lead crews, ensure quality workmanship, and maintain professional communication with clients and team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage roofing crews of 2 to 4 members, ensuring project completion and quality standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and vendors in a professional manner.
- Inspect roofs and ensure compliance with manufacturer's specifications and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans accurately.
- Train and mentor crew members on roofing systems and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial roofing.
- Familiarity with single ply, BUR, Modified Bitumen, and other flat roof systems.
- Proven leadership experience in managing small teams.
- Ability to learn new roofing systems and techniques as per manufacturer's specifications.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and climb ladders for roof inspections.
