About the position

The Commercial Rotation Program Associate position at Capital One is a full-time role designed for new graduates, commencing in July 2025. This position is part of a two-year rotational program aimed at developing the next generation of leaders in the Commercial Banking sector. The program is structured to provide associates with hands-on experience in two distinct roles, allowing them to gain a comprehensive understanding of various functions within the Commercial Bank. Associates will have the opportunity to rotate through different business areas, including Healthcare & Technology, Media and Telecom, Energy Banking, Financial Institutions, Middle Market Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Credit Risk & Analytics. Throughout the program, associates will engage in critical tasks such as loan origination, structuring, underwriting, and risk evaluation of credit facilities. They will also conduct research and analysis of industry and market data to support financial projections and credit decisions. The program emphasizes collaboration and innovation, providing associates with mentorship from seasoned leaders and executives, which is essential for building the necessary skills and competencies for a successful career in financial services. Upon completion of the program, associates will be well-prepared to apply for roles within the Commercial Bank across various business areas and locations. Responsibilities

  • Participation in loan origination, structuring, underwriting and risk evaluation of credit facilities
  • Research and analysis of industry and market data to complete financial projections
  • Analyzing financial statements, portfolio and the company to support business development and credit decisions
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and multi-task with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and dynamic environment

Requirements

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by July 2025 or earlier
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal communication and writing skills
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
  • Examples of demonstrated leadership and team-oriented traits
