About the position

The role involves building and leading a team of direct Sales Executives to drive new business sales growth in a specified region. The position requires developing and executing sales strategies, engaging in territory planning, and fostering relationships to support revenue generation. The successful candidate will also be responsible for recruiting, coaching, and mentoring team members, managing sales forecasts, and achieving annual sales goals while ensuring excellent customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Build a team of direct Sales Executives to drive rapid new business sales growth in the region.
  • Develop and drive sales strategy for the region in conjunction with Sales Operations.
  • Engage in territory planning, relationship development, and opportunity development to drive revenue.
  • Support and assist Field Sales Teams in closing opportunities.
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor team members to drive excellence.
  • Develop territories and quotas for the sales team and communicate performance expectations.
  • Manage and report accurate forecasts and pipeline to the business.
  • Achieve annual sales goals on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Engage in C-level meetings to understand customer business requirements.
  • Build effective working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Retain and grow the existing customer base through regular engagement activities.

Requirements

  • Extensive track record of new business sales success, including presentation and negotiation skills at the C Level.
  • Strong success in recruiting, coaching, and managing a sales team.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and financial planning skills to meet quotas and goals.
  • Ownership of accurate CRM reports, including forecasts and opportunity inspection.
  • Experience in driving sales processes and building effective relationships with Sales Operations.
  • Ability to understand the bigger picture and business drivers around IT.
  • Ability to build long-term strategic relationships at senior levels.
  • Adaptability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrates strong business and financial acumen.
  • Experience in building self-motivated sales teams that embrace collaboration and overachievement.

  • Proven partner relationships and networks to grow revenue streams and territory development.
  • Experience in pipeline generation activities developed by marketing or the partner community.
