About the position

The Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Commercial Account Executives at CloudZero, focusing on achieving revenue targets and driving business growth. This role is pivotal in the company's expansion efforts, particularly in the fast-growing commercial sector, and involves strategic planning, performance monitoring, and fostering a collaborative team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, build, inspire and manage the Commercial sales team to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
  • Monitor sales metrics and provide regular reports on performance, forecasts, and market insights to senior management.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth in assigned markets and customer segments.
  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with company goals and customer needs.
  • Conduct market research to understand competitive landscape and industry trends.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate sales team members to enhance their performance and professional growth.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network and represent CloudZero.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct sales experience, 2+ as a team lead or manager
  • Familiar with B2B SaaS Sales Motions and Methodologies (MEDDPICC, Sandler, FORCE Mgmt, etc)
  • Motivated by helping people grow with a desire to continue learning
  • A self-starter who thrives in a high-growth, rapidly changing marketplace
  • Proven in overseeing an outbound Sales team in all areas of the sales cycle
  • Strong understanding of the Cloud Ecosystem (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Passion for coaching, growing and motivating others through educating, challenging and inspiring others to do their best work
  • Ability to provide constructive, timely feedback in an effort to coach and grow others
  • Excellent project management and time management skills; relentless focus and ability to pivot and adapt to shifting priorities and objectives
  • Excellent presentation skills; Ability to captivate and engage diverse audiences
