The Commercial Sales Manager (CSM) at AutoZone is a pivotal role responsible for driving commercial sales within the designated AutoZone location. This position requires the CSM to develop and maintain positive relationships with commercial customers, ensuring that their needs are met through effective management of product acquisition and delivery. The CSM is expected to provide exceptional customer service, embodying the company's commitment to delivering WOW! Customer Service to all AutoZone Commercial accounts by adhering to the company's pledge daily. In this role, the CSM will be tasked with achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully maintaining and developing commercial sales. This includes developing new accounts through proactive face-to-face and telephone contact with potential customers. The CSM will act as the primary contact for commercial customers, ensuring open lines of communication between AutoZone and its commercial clientele. Efficient delivery of products is crucial, and the CSM will plan delivery routes and manage drivers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, generating appropriate documentation for each delivery. The CSM will also serve as a consultative partner to commercial customers, maintaining expert knowledge of automotive parts and the industry. This expertise will enable the CSM to conduct thorough research to guarantee that customers receive the right part at the right price. Additionally, the CSM will maintain records and billing for commercial accounts, process returns, and reconcile accounts. Regular visits to commercial accounts will be necessary to ensure that accounts are serviced and deliveries are made as promised. Collaboration is key in this role, as the CSM will contribute to the AutoZone 'one-team' environment by assisting customers and fellow AutoZoners with various aspects of the business. Building and maintaining strong relationships with the management team is essential, as the CSM will assist in training and developing drivers, commercial specialists, and other AutoZoners as directed by the Store Manager (SM) or District Manager (DM). Safety is a priority, and the CSM will maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all AutoZoners implement safety practices, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The CSM will also follow proper accident and claim procedures, comply with safe driving rules, and ensure that all Commercial Zoners have approved driver status. Proper maintenance of vehicles is also a responsibility, with the CSM required to report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly.
