About the position

As a Commercial Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Small and Medium Business (SMB) and Mid-Market clients. Reporting directly to the regional Commercial Solutions Engineering Manager, your primary responsibility will be to partner with account executives to transform our customers' approach to cloud security. You will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the complexities of cloud security across various platforms, including AWS, GCP, Azure, and more. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our customers maximize the value derived from our solutions throughout their software development and delivery processes. In this role, you will engage closely with the sales team to provide technical guidance to both existing and prospective customers, aiding in the achievement of quarterly sales targets. You will be responsible for delivering compelling presentations, which may include whiteboarding sessions, product demonstrations, and the development of business cases tailored to customer needs. Additionally, you will assist clients in planning comprehensive test plans that showcase the value of the Wiz platform within their specific environments. Continuous learning will be a key aspect of your role, as you will need to stay updated on new product features, industry developments, and technical skills relevant to cloud security. You will also represent Wiz at various technical forums, including trade shows, technical meetups, and industry events, further establishing our presence in the market and enhancing our reputation as a leader in cloud security solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the sales team to provide technical guidance to our customers and prospective customers in aid of meeting quarterly sales targets.
  • Provide presentations to our customers and prospective customers such as whiteboards, product demonstrations, and business cases.
  • Help our customers and prospective customers plan in-depth test plans for showing the value of the Wiz platform in their environment.
  • Invest time in learning new product features, industry related developments, and technical skills.
  • Represent Wiz in technical forums such as trade shows, technical meetups, and industry events.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of Solutions/Sales Engineering experience.
  • Mastery of the technical sales process.
  • Ability to deliver world class product demonstrations.
  • Capacity for consulting with C-level executives.
  • Cloud Security expertise.
  • AWS/Azure/GCP administrative and architectural expertise.
  • Virtualization, containerization, and microservices expertise.
  • Knowledge of risk-based security assessments and frameworks.
  • Understanding of cloud identity & entitlement management.
  • Understanding of digital cryptography, e.g., certificates, keys, and tokens.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with traditional CSPM tools.
  • SaaS experience.
  • CI/CD expertise.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of USD $170,000 - $230,000, which may include restricted stock units.
