About the position

The position involves leading a team of technical sales professionals at Vulcraft, focusing on business development initiatives and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders in the industry. The role requires collaboration with various teams to drive market-based solutions and support the Sales Manager in commercial operations while ensuring safety standards are upheld.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of technical sales professionals including Estimators, Sales Engineers, and Business Development Representatives.
  • Drive business development initiatives related to sustainability, new products, and regional accounts.
  • Establish and develop relationships with architects, engineers, and potential partners.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for Vulcraft and Nucor to provide market-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with DSMs on major project strategies across divisions and groups.
  • Assist the Sales Manager in leading commercial aspects of the business and provide backup as needed.
  • Coach and develop direct report sales teammates.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering & Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Willing and able to travel regularly.
  • Committed to relocate within three years for future advancement opportunities within Nucor.
  • Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • Previous commercial sales experience.
  • Two years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience as a structural engineering specifying professional.
  • Experience developing and/or implementing new business strategies.
  • SAP Experience.
