About the position
The Commercial SVC Tire Technician role at Snider Fleet Solutions involves providing tire and wheel-related services to customers in a mobile setting. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that tires are road-ready and compliant with DOT standards, while also maintaining the service truck and assisting with branch tasks when not on service calls. Responsibilities
- Service customers with tire and wheel-related needs in a mobile truck.
- Replace, inspect, and repair tires to ensure they are road ready and DOT compliant.
- Maintain cleanliness, equipment inventory levels, and perform daily inspections on the service truck.
- Mount and dismount various sized commercial tires using appropriate tools.
- Perform tire repairs with plugs and plug/patch combos.
- Coordinate with the Service Manager on job status and completion.
- Conduct daily pre and post vehicle inspections.
- Complete hand tickets identifying work performed and products used, ensuring customer signatures on required paperwork.
- Follow all safety rules and demonstrate a safety-conscious mindset.
- Work on-call for afterhours and weekend service calls as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid Class C Driver's License or equivalent, insurable by company standards.
- DOT Medical Certification.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Commercial TIA certification (to be obtained within six months of employment).
- Forklift certification (to be obtained after employment).
