About the position
The Commercial Tire Technician is responsible for providing tire-related services to fleets, including mounting, installation, inventory management, preventative maintenance, repairs, and documentation. This role requires physical stamina and flexibility for on-call after-hours and weekend scheduling, and it is eligible for bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Directly responsible for all tire related services throughout fleet including mounting, installation, inventory, preventative maintenance, repairs, and documentation.
- Ensuring preventative maintenance best practices including yard checks, visual inspections, tread depth checks, air pressure checks, identifying abuse and irregular wear patterns, and all related documentation.
- Following the proper guidelines for the mounting and dismounting of tires (including inflation and deflation).
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced physical environment.
- Must have the ability to lift over 50 pounds repetitively.
- Must have a valid Driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to drive a commercial truck.
- Must be available for on-call and after-hour service rotation, and own reliable transportation.
