About the position

As Commercial Transactions Counsel at Lattice, you will manage all aspects of commercial contracts and work closely with various functions including Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, and Global Operations. This role requires exceptional time management skills, strong attention to detail, and outstanding communication skills. You will be part of a high-functioning legal team in a dynamic multinational corporation, contributing to the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of commercial agreements while fostering positive relationships with internal clients, customers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of commercial agreements including software licenses, sales, distribution, partnership, supply, subcontracting, agency, and confidentiality agreements.
  • Manage contract negotiations in accordance with strategies defined with relevant functions and legal.
  • Collaborate with internal business clients and the executive team to obtain internal approvals before concluding contracts.
  • Proactively counsel internal business teams based on a strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
  • Provide prompt legal advice and appropriate solutions to complex commercial legal questions from internal clients.
  • Develop strategies for organizing contracts within a document management system.
  • Understand the company's business model to improve business processes for contract support, negotiation, approval, and execution.
  • Contribute to other Legal team needs, goals, and initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.
  • At least 4 to 7 years of experience at a law firm and/or as in-house counsel supporting multinational corporations.
  • Direct experience negotiating commercial technology contracts for a multinational corporation.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly.
  • Possess technical excellence and a professional, commercial approach to problem solving.
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively and autonomously.
  • Ability to navigate complex issues in developed and emerging markets.
  • Willingness to support a small legal team with various issues including data privacy, employment, and information technology.
