With five convenient locations across Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Riviera Beach, Fort Pierce, and Fort Myers, Rechtien International is an authorized dealer for medium and heavy-duty trucks, including International brand trucks, Hino, and Ottawa yard spotter tractors. Additionally, the dealership is an authorized service center for IC Bus and an Idealease affiliate, offering full-service truck leasing and various rental options along with contract maintenance services. The position of Trucks Salesperson/Account Manager is crucial for driving sales growth and nurturing strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will be result-driven and experienced in the truck sales industry, with a focus on fostering long-term client partnerships. This role involves not only selling and delivering vehicles but also managing and expanding existing client accounts through effective relationship-building strategies. The successful candidate will utilize cold calling and networking techniques to generate leads, negotiate sales contracts, and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the products and services offered by Rechtien International. The position requires a proactive approach to customer service, ensuring that all customer inquiries are addressed and that vehicles are prepared for delivery with all necessary documentation and explanations of features and warranties.

Responsibilities

  • Sells and delivers vehicles to customers.
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts through effective relationship building.
  • Utilize cold calling and networking techniques to generate leads.
  • Negotiate sales contracts and agreements with clients.
  • Write up sales orders.
  • Maintain current knowledge on all facets of the products and services Rechtien offers, as well as keeps up-to-date on new products and services within the industry.
  • Approaches, greets, and offers assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership or sales lot.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in their sector.
  • Analyzes and follows up on internal leads provided by Marketing.
  • Explains fully product performance, application and benefits to prospects.
  • Describes all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
  • Turns 100 percent of closed deals to finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title etc.).
  • Prepares sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival.
  • Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty and paperwork.
  • Follows up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, 'we-owes' and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met.
  • Attends sales meetings.
  • Maintains professional appearance.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior sales experience and/or working (product and service) knowledge of the mid/heavy-duty truck industry, preferably with International brands.
  • Sales negotiation and closing skills.
  • Competency with basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
